Who can forget the iconic Sonny Corleone from The Godfather? James Caan had an illustrious acting career, starring in many movies like El Dorado to seasonal family fun in Elf. He also had a successful TV run on the show Las Vegas. Sadly we lost James in July 2022, but his legacy lives on in his son Scott.

Scott Caan, born to James and Sheila in 1976, has starred in quite a few big movies but is most notable for his role in the remake of Hawaii Five-0. He has the unmistakable nose and eyes of his dad, and those blue eyes are enough to make anyone weak in the knees!

Dad Stellan isn’t one that you’d always know or recognize, and yet this Swedish-born actor has been in some big movies. He’s probably most notable as Bill “Bootstraps” Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, yet you may also recognize him from Mamma Mia and the Oscar-winning movie Good Will Hunting.

Stellan’s mini-me, Alexander, is an accomplished actor too. He was part of the main cast of True Blood but also had significant roles in Zoolander and The Northman. It’s worth noting that Stellan’s other son, Bill, is also a copy of his father! The Skarsgårds definitely have strong genes!

Where do we even begin with the list of Clint Eastwood’s memorable movies? The man is a Hollywood icon, and not only in front of the camera. From his break-out role in the 1966 TV series, Rawhide to playing a New York City cop in Dirty Harry, Clint has proven he has immense talent. He then moved behind the camera, and his numerous awards show that he can direct too!

Scott Eastwood, Clint’s son from one of many relationships, was born in 1986, and there’s just no mistaking who his father is! Those eyes, that jaw, someone pass the fan, it’s getting hot in here! Not only has Scott inherited his dad’s swoonalicious looks but he’s also just as talented.

John Lennon. Need we say more? Everyone should know who he is. The former Beatle is well known for his singing and songwriting skills, with famous songs like “Hey Jude” (co-written with Paul McCartney), and “Imagine” (co-written with Yoko Ono). Sadly, John was taken from us in 1980, but his memory lives on in all his music that’s still loved today.

Not only does his legacy live on in his music, but his son with Yoko Ono, Sean, is also a musician. There’s no mistaking that Sean is John’s son, and although not as famous, he’s steadily performed with various artists over the years, including Miley Cyrus.

Ah, Sonny Crockett. That famous white jacket will go down in history as belonging to one of the coolest TV cops of the ’80s. Don Johnson was a heartthrob, thanks to that role in Miami Vice, which also helped his success in Nash Bridges. Don oozes talent and still shows it off today. Just check out Knives Out!

Don has a few kids, but his son Jesse is unmistakably a Johnson. Jesse was born in 1982, and his mom is Patti D’Arbanville. One of his first roles was as Don’s nephew in Nash Bridges, which worked well, seeing as the family resemblance is very apparent.

Eugene Levy is a comedic legend and has starred in numerous movies, including Bringing Down the House and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. But, surely, his most proud moment was acting with his real-life son, Dan, in the popular Schitt’s Creek.

Dan Levy is a talent house, having starred not only in Schitt’s Creek but is also the only person to act in all the American Pie movies. It’s really not hard to see that this duo is father and son, but the glasses definitely help.

Jude Law is an accomplished actor who broke through to stardom in The Talented Mr. Ripley. He was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in this movie. Jude has taken on the mammoth task of playing young Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter prequels, Fantastic Beasts, and he’s doing Harry Potter fans proud!

Rafferty, Jude’s son with actress Sadie Frost, has decided to follow in his parent’s footsteps. While he’s yet to make his mark, the 26-year-old has been in a few movies, notably Twist with Michael Caine in 2021.

The ’80s were big on action movies and, in particular, martial art ones. Kickboxer and Bloodsport had all the kids signing up to learn judo and karate. Jean-Claude was the king of action movies throughout the ’80s and ’90s.

Jean-Claude’s son, Kris, was no stranger to action movies, obviously, as he portrayed a young Luc Deveraux in the 1992 hit action flick Universal Soldier. Following in his dad’s action-hero footsteps, he often acts with his dad, most recently in Black Water.

Bill Pullman is instantly recognizable with his unique looks and incredible talent. Probably one of his most memorable career moments was acting in Independence Day. His diverse skills have allowed him to play a country’s leader, a father in Casper, and a love interest in While You Were Sleeping.

Bill’s equally instantly recognizable son, Lewis, is an esteemed up-and-coming actor, having just starred in Top Gun: Maverick. The family resemblance is very obvious, and so is the inherited talent, which looks to set Lewis on a road to stardom, just like his dad!

James Brolin has been a screen staple since the ’60s, with his biggest role as Dr. Steven Kiley on Marcus Welby, M.D. This role won him an Emmy and a Golden Globe, no less! Another notable role that won him awards was as the hotel manager, Peter McDermott, in Aaron Spelling’s Hotel.

James’ spitting image son, Josh, is also an award-winning actor, with wins for the movie Milk and No Country for Old Men. Probably one of his biggest roles was as Thanos from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Henry Fonda’s legendary acting career spanned over 50 years, starting with breakout performances in movies like Jesse James and Young Mr. Lincoln. Henry was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award for the movie The Grapes of Wrath and eventually won said award for his final movie ever, On Golden Pond.

The Fondas are actually a Hollywood dynasty, with Peter Fonda just as decorated as his dad. His most notable film is probably Easy Rider. Like father, like son, right?!

’80s heartthrob Val Kilmer rose to fame as a pilot in the mega-movie Top Gun. Numerous roles followed the success of Top Gun. One of his biggest yet more challenging roles was as Jim Morrison, the substance-hooked lead singer of The Doors, for which he received critical acclaim.

Although Val and Joanne’s marriage didn’t last, they did have two kids, Jack and Mercedes. Mini-Val, Jack, was never one for acting and didn’t really pursue it until someone asked him to read for them, and he got a part in the movie Palo Alto. He hasn’t looked back since!

If you want to know about ’80s hunks, then Rob Lowe will always be on any list. Making teenage girls weak at the knees for his roles in St. Elmo’s Fire and The Outsiders, Rob’s posters adorned walls everywhere. As he got older, he took on more adult-themes roles, such as The West Wing.

His son John Owen will probably take over his dad’s role as a teen heartthrob, seeing as he’s the spitting image of Rob. Although John studied science and technology in college, he’s dipped his toes into the acting world, appearing in a family-run show called The Lowe Files.

One of the most, um, bizarre relationships of the ’90s was Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson. They sure knew how to stay relevant, appearing in all sorts of media throughout their turbulent marriage. Tommy, the drummer for the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, has made a ton of albums over the years, both with the band and solo.

His marriage to Baywatch actress, Pamela Anderson, produced two sons, Brandon and Dylan. Brandon has decided to follow in his mom’s footsteps and pursue acting.

Another Hollywood dynasty, the Wayans have quite a few actors amongst their brood. Damon Wayans Sr. has had a prolific career in film and TV, most notably for the TV show In Living Color. On the big screen, he starred in The Last Boy Scout and was a perfect drill sergeant in Major Payne.

His mini-me, Damon Wayans Jr., is a very successful actor widely known for his role in Happy Endings. His debut was in his dad’s movie, Blankman, released in 1994. These two look more like brothers than father and son!

Kurt Russell was the original Disney star, having signed a 10-year contract with the company in 1966. He made quite the name for himself! Following that Disney stint, he went on to make more movies, such as Big Trouble in Little China and the futuristic action comedy, Escape From New York, where he portrayed Snake Plissken.

His relationship with actress Goldie Hawn produced a mini-Kurt they named Wyatt. Wyatt is now 36 and played ice hockey before jumping into the family business. It makes sense that he did, as both his parents and his half-brother and half-sister are considered Hollywood elites.

British actor Jeremy Irons has done it all! He’s done Shakespeare, performed in many West End plays, TV, and movies, and loaned his voice to animation, most notably as Scar, Mufasa’s evil brother in The Lion King.

Jeremy’s son Max has inherited all the acting genes, not only because of his dad but because his mom Sinéad Cusack is an actor too. Max has had roles in Red Riding Hood, The White Queen, and The Host, but he also models for Burberry and Mango. We can see why!

Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage is a favorite of many. Although it took him a few years to be the star he is today, his breakout role was in Moonstruck opposite Cher. He won a Golden Globe for this role. His action-adventure movies were his big crowd pleasers, such as Gone in 60 Seconds, The Rock, and Face/Off.

Nicolas’ son Weston tried to get into the acting world, but it didn’t pan out for him. We’re kind of sad about it because his family is the famous Coppolas after all. But it’s not for everyone, and he seems to be making a name for himself with death metal music instead.

Jerry Stiller was a beloved comedian and actor. He and his wife, Anne Meara, formed the popular comedic duo, Stiller and Meara. Jerry starred in numerous TV series, namely Seinfeld and The King of Queens.

Ben Stiller, Jerry, and Anne’s son, is a name that stands all on its own. He’s conquered the comedic film world with epic movies like the Night at the Museum trilogy, There’s Something About Mary, Dodgeball, and Zoolander, in which his dad had a small part.

Lloyd Bridges was one of the classic stars of the ’40s, and over his career, he made more than 150 movies! What an incredible career! He worked for Columbia Pictures and garnered lead roles in Secret Service Investigator and 16 Fathoms Deep. His biggest hit was a spoof film, however, called Airplane.

Jeff Bridges needs no introduction. The second son of Lloyd and Dorothy is an accomplished actor in his own right. He received an Oscar nomination for his role in The Last Picture Show (1971) and was one of the youngest people to ever be nominated. He became one of the oldest Oscar winners when he won Best Actor for Crazy Heart in 2009.

Rapper Ice Cube co-founded the group NWA but is also noted for his solo career. Following his success in the music business, Cube jumped over to acting and did really well, especially with films like Barbershop, Ride Along, and Are We There Yet? He proved his versatility with both comedy and drama, starring in Straight Outta Compton.

Cube’s eldest son, despite being who he is, had to audition for his role as a younger version of his father in Straight Outta Compton, but he got the role and showed what he was made of.

“Born in the USA” will always be an iconic song of Bruce Springsteen. The rocker was a big name in the ’80s and released numerous successful albums, including Born in the USA.

Bruce’s son Sam, although a dead ringer for his rocker dad, shied away from the entertainment industry and became a firefighter. He recently celebrated the birth of a daughter.

Wow, the likeness is incredible! Sean Penn is a multi-Oscar winner, having won Best Actor Oscars for Mystic River and Milk. His breakout role was as a surfer teenager in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Hopper, Sean’s son with Robin Wright, is a dead ringer for his dad and has followed in his parents’ footsteps. His movie resume includes War Machine, Puppy Love, and The Cleaner.

Beloved Hollywood icon Denzel Washington has cemented his place as a superstar. With memorable movies like Remember the Titans, Glory, and Training Day, Denzel is as versatile as they come.

It must be pretty overwhelming having a dad in the industry who’s just so good at his job, but it seems John David is taking it in stride and learning all the right lessons. He’s already garnered a few Golden Globe and SAG nominations, so it’s probably only a matter of time before he’s also accepting his Oscar one day.

The Aussie animal lover and conservationist gained international stardom with his show The Crocodile Hunter. Having always been around crocs and reptiles, Steve Irwin was the perfect guy, with the best personality, to teach the world about how important it is to look after our fauna. It was with great sadness that we learned the very animals he loved contributed to his passing in 2006.

Steve’s son Robert is exactly like his dad. Robert was only two when his dad passed, but everything he’s learned, he’s passing on to everyone – just like his dad did.

Who can forget Tony Soprano? James Gandolfini was brilliant as the Italian mob boss, winning three Emmys, a Golden Globe, and numerous other accolades for this role. Sadly, James passed away in 2013.

Following the loss of his father, Michael decided to take up acting, with his most notable role in The Many Saints of Newark. This movie was actually a prequel to The Sopranos, and Michael played the younger version of Tony Soprano.

Record producer and rapper Sean Combs is a powerhouse in the music world. Although he has songs like “I’ll Be Missing You,” Sean is more well known for changing his name just about as often as we change our underwear. Not quite, but you get what we mean!

More importantly, Sean knows how to find talent, and his Bad Boys Entertainment company is a testament to that. Sean’s son, Christian, aka King Combs, signed to his dad’s label and has released a few songs and EPs.

The Genesis drummer may be retired now, but what an incredible career he’s had! His solo career saw him gain massive success with the albums Face Value and Hello, I Must Be Going! selling millions of copies. Phil also created music for movies, notably Against All Odds, which gained an Oscar nomination for best song, and the Disney classic, Tarzan.

Phil’s son, Simon, was born in 1976 and was musically inclined from the get-go. This multi-talented muso can sing and play a variety of instruments, which he did for his 2005 album Time for Truth.

Philip was well-known for collaborating with director Paul Thomas Anderson, and they brought us movies like Boogie Nights and The Master. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for Capote in 2005. Sadly, Philip left us in 2014.

All is not lost, however, as his favorite director convinced Philip’s son, Cooper, to join the cast of Licorice Pizza. Cooper gained critical acclaim for this role and was nominated for numerous awards. Philip’s legacy will surely continue with Cooper.

Will Smith is an accomplished rapper and actor, finally winning his Best Actor award in 2022 under a dark shadow of a physical outburst. The iconic TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will always be his trademark. Not to mention his roles in the Men in Black and Bad Boys franchises.

Will’s youngest son Jaden has also dabbled in both music and acting, with movies like Karate Kid and Life in a Year. The father and son also portrayed a father and son in two movies, namely The Pursuit of Happyness and After Earth.

Mark has been in the acting world for what seems like forever, having started on the soapie, All My Children as Mateo Santos. Since All My Children, Mark has been seen in the drama Riverdale as the sinister Hiram Lodge.

On this very same show, there were a few flashbacks to Hiram’s younger days, and who better to play his younger self than his real-life son, Michael?

George wrote quite a few of the Beatles’ songs and had a successful solo career after the iconic band broke up.

After George passed away in 2001, his lookalike son Dhani took on the task of releasing his father’s final album, as per his dad’s wishes. Brainwashed was released a year later. Dhani has continued to produce music and won a Grammy for the remastered version of George’s “All Things Must Pass.”

Dustin Hoffman has had so many standout performances that we can’t mention just one. Starring in The Graduate, Tootsie, Rain Man, and the comical Meet the Parents, Dustin is well-deserving of all the praise and awards he’s won over the years.

Jon and his wife have been married since 1989 and have four kids. Their son Jesse however, is an absolute ringer for his dad. Although Jesse didn’t follow his dad into the entertainment industry, he’s an accomplished entrepreneur.

Tom Hanks is the male version of America’s Sweetheart, especially with his rom-coms Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail, in which he starred with Meg Ryan. His Oscar-winning performances in Forrest Gump and Philadelphia highlight his incredible talent on screen.

Tom’s lookalike-son Colin also has quite the resume. He started off on the cult-classic Roswell and, for the big screen, was in movies like Orange County and King Kong. Tom and Colin acted as father and son on The Great Buck Howard.

David Bowie, aka Ziggy Stardust, is hailed as one of the most influential singer-songwriters ever. With memorable songs like “Space Oddity” to his portrayal of Jareth in Labyrinth, David was a man of many talents and cemented his place in history.

Duncan Jones is equally talented and a much sought-after director, producer, and screenwriter. He’s best known for movies like Source Code and Moon, for which he won a coveted BAFTA.

David Cassidy was a singer, songwriter, and actor. He’s most famous for his role in the ’70s TV show The Partridge Family. This role shot David to fame. His posters could be found on most teen girls’ bedroom walls.

Beau is David’s son with songwriter Sue Shifrin. He’s followed his parents into the music industry as a singer-songwriter. Beau’s even tried his hand at acting. He’s very talented, which isn’t a surprise, to be honest!

Mention Michael Keaton, and two movies will appear in your head: Beetlejuice and Batman. His portrayal of Batman against Jack Nicholson’s Joker has become a cult classic. Michael won Golden Globes for his performances in Birdman and Dopesick.

Everyone knows of the “The King,” AKA Elvis Presley for his amazing voice and big presence wherever he went. He lived up to his nickname and was the king of music and of women’s hearts for years. However, despite his fame and fortune, his personal life and that of his family’s was not free of hardships, secrets, and scandals. In recent years, after his death, Presley’s wife and daughter both published memoirs that reveal some shocking details. What was The King hiding from the world? What did he take to his grave? Now, it’s all being revealed, and we have the scoop.

Elvis Presley was known as ‘The King’ but together with his wife Priscilla and daughter Lisa Marie, they proved to be one of the most famous families with a plethora of scandals.

From issues with addiction to affairs and plenty of marriages, the Presley legacy will always be remembered. Elvis may seem like one of a kind but he was actually twin and had an identical brother at birth. His brother was named Jesse Garon Presley and was born 35 minutes before Elvis but was a stillborn.

Elvis was considered a heartthrob and from this, many women wanted him. Despite being married to Priscilla, Elvis had many love affairs with other women and craved female attention and companionship after his mother died.

When some of the women confronted Elvis about his marriage to Priscilla, he always maintained that the two had an open marriage and he was allowed to do whatever he wanted. Moreover, some of the women that came forward said he wasn’t himself because of all the pills.

In 2015, Priscilla revealed that Elvis had a serious issue with germs and couldn’t cope with it. She revealed that Elvis would not use anyone else’s silverware saying that;

“He never liked to go to people’s homes to eat because [he] didn’t like eating with other people’s silverware, so he would take his own silverware.” Moreover, he found it hard to drink from cups where other people had drank so he would sip near the handle, knowing most people didn’t drink from that side.

Although Elvis proposed to Priscilla in 1966, many have spoken how he was forced into the marriage. Apparently, Priscilla said she would sell her story to the press if he did not marry her and her father would charge him under the act of “taking a minor across state lines for sexual purposes.”

Moreover, Elvis had a “morals clause” written into his RCA contract and knew he must go through with it which allegedly left him crying prior to the ceremony.

During his junior year of high school, Elvis stood out from the rest of his classmates due to his mature appearance. He grew sideburns and styled his hair with rose oil and vaseline.

His unique style would later lead him to becoming one of the most iconic stars in the world but at that time it was not the norm. Furthermore, rather than doing regular teenage activities, he would spend his free time in the heart of Memphis’ blues scene on Beale Street.

Elvis was known to like ‘pure’ girls and Priscilla included in that category. They first spent the night together on their wedding night, and it was said that Lisa Marie was born exactly nine months later.

Ironically, after giving birth to their baby girl, Elvis was no longer attracted to his wife and was put off by the fact she was now a mother. This is one of the reasons Elvis had a wandering eye during their marriage.

Lisa Marie was just 9-years-old when her father died but at that point, she became the joint heir to her father’s large estate. The other two heirs were Elvis’s father and grandmother Vernon Presley and Minnie Mae Presley.

After the two died in 1979 and 1980, Lisa Marie became the sole heir and inherited Graceland, Elvis’s home. However, it wasn’t until Lisa Marie’s 25th birthday in 1993 that she inherited the whole estate worth an estimated $100 million. Lisa Marie has now sold 75% of the estate.

Although most of the rumors surrounding affairs and extra-martial relationships have been focused on Elvis, Priscilla was not so innocent herself. Due to her husband having no interest in her, Priscilla decided to have affairs with other men.

It was said that she fell for her dance instructor named Mark and reportedly had another affair with her karate teacher, Mike Stone. Apparently, when Elvis found out about Priscilla’s behavior, he tried to give her attention but it seemed to be too late.

The secret of Elvis’s father being locked up didn’t come out until Elvis died in order to protect his public image. In 1976, Vernon Presley was imprisoned for a forged check and was sent to Mississippi State Penitentiary in Parchman.

Prior to this, he had already spent six months in the Tupelo jail waiting for a trial. The check was over the selling of a hog and Vernon was unimpressed with the value so added some zeros to increase the money.

Being from the south, Elvis was a avid collector of guns and was known to love to carry them with him most of the time. Elvis was said to have about 37 different types of guns, rifles and machine guns.

People also noted how much he hated singers Mel Torme or Robert Goulet and whenever they appeared on the television screen, he would shoot his guns at them. After Elvis died, one of his guns was auctioned off for $28,000.

With Elvis and Priscilla living separate lives in different cities and having relationships with others, their relationship took its toll. In 1973, Elvis filed for divorce and became increasingly paranoid about the men in Priscilla’s life.

When their divorce was finalized, the couple agreed to share custody of Lisa Marie and Priscilla was given a cash payment of $725,000 as well as spousal and child support. Despite the divorce, the couple remained close and left the courthouse hand in hand.

Priscilla revealed she lost her identity as a young woman who was thrust into the limelight. She stated;

“I was kind of lost really in who I was earlier in my life, I really didn’t have teenage years, I learnt so much about him and was with him so much that I thought the way he did, I knew what he liked…I knew his thoughts, I knew everything as far as you could possibly do when you live together at such a young age.”

Just 20 days after her divorce from first husband, Lisa Marie married pop legend Michael Jackson in 1994 after being a supportive person for Michael during his child harassment trial.

She said “I believed he didn’t do anything wrong, and that he was wrongly accused and, yes, I started falling for him. I wanted to save him. I felt that I could do it.” When Michael went to file for divorce in 1996, Lisa begged him not to but then filed for divorce herself.

It was reported that Elvis’s weight gain and depression spiraled after one major event. Elvis hit his head on the bathtub, enough to be knocked out and was taken to the hospital with a mild concussion.

Immediately following this, Elvis gained a lot of weight, complained about headaches and insomnia and his behavior also became erratic. These were common signs of head trauma and Elvis’ health deteriorated thereafter, leading him to use more and more pills to relieve his pain.

During one of Elvis’s shows in 1973, four men rushed to the stage in an apparent attack and from this, Elvis was convinced they were sent by Priscilla’s lover, Mike Stone.

From then on, Elvis was obsessed with this idea and stated “There’s too much pain in me … Stone [must] die.” Despite seeing a physician, they were unable to calm him even though they had given him high doses of medication. His friend and bodyguard went so far to suggest a contract killing but Presley denied.

In 1971, Elvis had an affair with Capitol Hill staffer Joyce Bova, who has an identical twin. The two initially bonded over that and Elvis opened up about how much the death of his twin brother affected him.

Elvis really fell for Bova and even exercised the idea of moving her into Graceland, telling her that he intended to leave Priscilla. Apparently, Joyce became pregnant with the singer’s baby and had an abortion in secret. Elvis was never told about the baby.

After growing up as the daughter of ‘the king’, it was inevitable that Lisa Marie would venture into music at some point. In 2003, Lisa Marie released her debut album To Whom It May Concern which reached number 5 in the charts and was then certified gold.

Arguably, her most poignant record was in 1997 where Lisa Marie made a video of “Don’t Cry Daddy” and added her vocals together with her late father’s. The record was not used for commercial use and was more of a tribute.

In 1977, Marie was indoctrinated into the Church of Scientology by her mother Priscilla. The controversial religion was admired by Elvis’s daughter and she received the Humanitarian Award from the World Literacy Crusade, a Scientology affiliated group.

After a long relationship with the Church, in 2016, Lisa Marie defected from Scientology saying that she had felt dissent from the religion as far back as 2008. Her mother and her daughter are still members of the Church.

After being publicly shamed for gaining weight, Elvis took extremes to lose the weight as fast as possible in the most bizarre way. Elvis inflicted a two-week period of sedation against himself.

During this time, he would sleep for most of the day and only wake up for a short time to go to the bathroom and eat something small. This sedation led Elvis to take more pills and deteriorated his health significantly, worrying everyone around him.

Just five months after Elvis and Priscilla separated, Elvis found love with another pure women and Memphis beauty queen, Linda Thompson. The two had a relationship for four years and Linda revealed she was shocked at the amount of substances that were around the singer.

Despite the fact they adored each other, Linda recalled that he was “special” but knew that he was not faithful to her. Linda and Elvis split just nine months before he died.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and addiction seemed to filter down from Elvis to his daughter. As a teenager, Lisa Marie got involved with substance addictions, stemming from her families lives in the spotlight.

Although for a while Scientology made her get clean, her divorce from husband of 10-years,  Michael Lockwood, was tough and led her onto a prescription addiction. In 2016, she officially checked into Hills Treatment Center in Los Angeles in order to get help.

Feeling a pressure to look perfect, Priscilla fell victim to a botched surgery by an unlicensed physician. In 2008, Dr. Daniel Serrano injected silicone into Priscilla’s face and the chemicals used in the procedure were not intended for cosmetic procedures and instead were common materials found in auto parts in Argentina.

Priscilla was paying a reported $300 to $500 per injection and her doctor was said to have been indicted by the feds for smuggling substances into the country and administering unapproved materials.

In 1970, Elvis engineered a meeting with President Richard Nixon at the White House. In the meeting, Elvis expressed his patriotism and his contempt for the hippies and the growing substance-induced culture.

Elvis went on to ask Nixon for a Bureau of Narcotics badge as he was collecting patriotic items. It was said that President Nixon found the encounter uncomfortable and told Elvis that  he had the ability to send a positive message to young people and to “maintain his credibility”.

As was recently revealed by Linda Thompson, Elvis had a secret face lift when he was aged 40. The singer was said to be going through a midlife crisis and decided to have the surgery to help his insecurities.

Thompson also reveled that Elvis was particularly self conscious about his “skinny little chicken neck” and that was what inspired his trademark high collars. Although there was much speculation that Elvis has had other procedures, Linda noted that this was the only one.

Elvis’s divorce from Priscilla left him never the same again. His health significantly deteriorated after and twice in the year he overdosed on substances, leaving him spending three days in a coma in his hotel suite.

Later on, he was hospitalized for concussion from the effects of a severe pill addiction. Although Elvis was taking plenty of substances, he never saw it as an addiction as it was administered from his doctor Dr. George C. Nichopoulos.

Elvis’s deteriorating health would not prevent him from having the busiest touring schedule ever. In 1973, he performed 168 concerts and a similar schedule the following year.

That September, Elvis’s Maryland concert left many worrying about the star. Elvis walked on stage and held onto the mic stand to steady him for 30 minutes. He was slurring his words and his songs were intelligible. Even though his management found him slumped over chairs in his dressing room, they begged him to take a break, but he declined.

Only a year after Tom Jones’ wife, Melinda, died, he had an unlikely romance with Priscilla. The two had been friends for decades and Tom and Elvis were even close friends.

Tom said of the date and his late friend, “I really don’t know how Elvis would feel about us having dinner together. He probably wouldn’t be too sure,” However, the romance did not last long and the pair decided to remain friends and not become involved romantically.

After Elvis’ relationship with Linda Thompson came to an end, he found a new woman soon after named Ginger Alden. The two’s relationship moved quickly and Elvis proposed to her just two months later.

Despite asking for her hand in marriage, many of Elvis’s friends came forward saying that he had no interest in getting remarried. She said of their relationship “‘I knew I had fallen in love and couldn’t imagine not being with him.” Ginger eventually found Elvis dead.

Although it was widely known that Elvis suffered from addiction, many people were shocked at how many pills he was taking a day. Elvis’s doctors had prescribed the star around 10,000 different pills around the time of his death.

Linda Thompson recalled how Elvis would get the pills whenever he could, remembering on a trip to the dentists that “Elvis opened the cabinet and took out gigantic jars of pills. He began taking handfuls of pills and stuffing them into random pockets.”

In the afternoon of August 16th, 1977, Elvis’s  then-girlfriend Ginger Alden found that star dead, lying by the toilet. After being taken to hospital and having several resuscitation attempts, he was pronounced dead.

Although his death certificate and an autopsy showed that he had died from a heart attack, it was later revealed that the pills in his system had become too much and an overdose was the catalyst. However, the amount of pills in his system led to many stating theories of a criminal act.

When Elvis died, many publications were desperate for that last picture of the king and would go to great lengths to get it. The National Enquirer managed to bribe Elvis’ cousin Bobby Mann for $18,000 to sneak a miniature Arco Flex spy camera into Graceland and take a picture of the star’s body before his burial.

When the picture was published on the front page, it sold a record breaking 6.5 million copies and became the most famous cover picture ever.

Throughout her relationship to Elvis, Priscilla was banned from having a career, as Elvis believed her place was at home looking after him. Priscilla had plenty of attention from producers who wanted to sign her but she had to turn them down.

However, after Elvis died, Priscilla took the step to go into acting and took up many roles in television including her famous part in hit TV show Dallas for five years, but eventually left to go into movies.

Beyond his voice and guitar playing, Elvis’s style was his biggest asset. Elvis’ hair was so precious to him that he had very few people he trusted to cut it.

Mr. Gill, as he was called, was his mother’s hairdresser and Elvis would fly him anywhere to get his hair in tip top shape. Mr. Gill understood the magnitude of his position and kept many of Elvis’s hair clippings to be sold at auction after his death.

He might have had numerous girlfriends and lovers, but there was only one woman in Elvis’s life – his mother.

Gladys Presley was very close with her son, to the point that they had many pet names for each other, occasionally communicated in baby talk, and tried to stay near each other when possible. Gladys seemed to get sicker as she grew older because she stopped taking care of herself without her son around. Elvis was devastated for days after her death.

Many believe that Elvis adopted his persona and style from an obsession with actor James Dean. Elvis was attracted to his bad boy attitude and the ease with which he got the ladies.

It is possible that it helped drive Elvis to become not only a ladies man but focus on his relationships with famous actresses and singers. One of his girlfriends included Natalie Wood, a good friend of Dean’s and his co-star in Rebel Without a Cause.

Elvis had a strange obsession with a particular sandwich. Now called the Elvis Sandwich, the concoction includes peanut butter, bananas, and bacon. Elvis first heard of this sweet and salty treat while hanging out with some friends.

One person mentioned trying the sandwich while in Colorado. He loved the idea so much that he flew everyone to Denver to try the original recipe. When he got back to Memphis, he passed the recipe on to his chef.

On Thursday, August 18, Elvis Presley was laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery next to his mother. Tens of thousands of fans came to line the funeral procession’s route to the cemetery.

Tragedy struck in the wee hours of the night outside the Graceland gates. A man drove his car into the mass of people holding a candlelight vigil. He hit three women, killing two. Tammy Baiter is the lone survivor of the vicious attack.

Two weeks before Elvis was found on his bathroom floor, three of his former bodyguards published a tell all book titled, Elvis: What Happened?.  The three bodyguards were fired a year earlier to cut costs, but eventually cost Elvis much more.

He tried to pay them to not release the book, but they refused his offer. Elvis’s long list of ailments became aggravated after its release as the additional stress put a toll on him.

Elvis did not just gain a prescription pill addiction from the street. He had his pills prescribed to him by his personal physician Dr. George C. Nichopoulos. Dr. Nichopoulous is widely considered to be at least partially responsible for Elvis’s addiction and death.

He reportedly prescribed him over 10,000 doses of various narcotics, barbiturates, amphetamines, and sleeping pills in just the first half of 1977. His license was suspended in 1980 for overprescribing to Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and others.

Beginning in the 50s, Elvis developed a love for cars, especially Cadillacs. He bought his first one in 195, a pink and white Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60. The car was wrecked in a roadside fire, but he would replace it with the 1955 model the next year.

This time, the car was blue with a black roof, but Elvis decided to have it repainted in a customized color, called “Elvis Rose.” He reportedly bought over 100 Cadillacs in his life for himself, family, friends, and strangers.

Although he met his wife in Germany and had fans across the world, Elvis surprisingly never toured outside of the Western Hemisphere. He made only a few appearances outside of the US at all with a handful of shows in Canada in 1957.

Elvis supposedly had a huge argument with Col. Tom Parker in 1972 as Parker refused to let Presley go forward with a Europe tour. Although they were friends, Elvis always resented how Parker held him back from his personal desires.

Beach Boys singer Brian Wilson wanted to impress the king during his mid-seventies meeting but eventually did the opposite. Wilson knew Elvis liked karate, so he wanted to show off some of his moves.

Early into their encounter, Wilson jumped at Elvis and let out a “HI-YAH” with some karate chops. Elvis told him not to do that, but Wilson insisted on doing it again. An unimpressed Elvis just walked out of the room.

Elvis was a huge lover of comedy during his life, frequently quoting entire monologs and screening new comedy hits. For a time, Elvis was also a fan of The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson.

That would change after a monolog joke in 1975. Carson made a reference to Elvis being “fat and 40” on his 40th birthday which Elvis took quite personally. He quit the show entirely after the remark by the King of Late Night.

When Elvis left Germany, he and Priscilla stayed in touch via phone and after a couple of years and much pleading, Priscilla’s parents agreed to let her visit Elvis in LA under the conditions he paid for a first class round trip, had her chaperoned at all times and she must write home daily. .

During the trip, Elvis planned to take Priscilla to Las Vegas, hiding it from her parents. It was at this time that Priscilla took pills to keep up with Elvis

Lisa Marie gave birth to twins in 2009 and needed help taking care of the girls. She hired a nanny, Christine White, to help out. White did not just help with the twins; she worked around the clock seven days a week without breaks.

She claimed to work without meals or overtime pay. Presley counter sued a year later, saying that she was fired for taking pictures of the girls, a breach of her contract’s confidentiality agreement.

Elvis Presley’s only daughter is a rare title to hold. One woman believes that Lisa Marie is a liar and not the real daughter of the King. Lisa Johansen filed a $130 million suit against the Presleys claiming to be Elvis actual daughter.

She published a memoir in 1988 titled I, Lisa Marie: The True Story of Elvis Presley’s Real Daughter claiming that Priscilla forced her to assume another identity for fear of her life after Elvis’s death in 1977.

Elvis might not have always been a star, but he always seemed to get in trouble because of women. As a teenager in Memphis, young Elvis began working at the Loew’s State movie theater.

The gig would not last long, and Elvis was fired after only five weeks of working there. One of the other ushers was jealous of his interactions with the girl behind the concession stands and ratted him out when she gave Elvis free candy.

You would be quite mistaken to believe that Elvis’s hair was naturally his patented black. He was born blonde but wanted to transition to darker hair because of his idol Tony Curtis.

When he first had his hair dyed professionally on the set of Loving You, they used a shade called mink brown for his hair to appear black on camera. He suffered from migraines in his later life from dying his eyelashes black early on.

From the beginning of his career, Elvis was a singer who broke down racial barriers, often performing for the black community, disregarding segregation in the process.

From this, he was often shunned by the white conservative community where it was not acceptable to view black people as equals. Elvis’ accepting nature stemmed from the fact he was heavily influence by prominent black artists as a young boy and from this, he would perform at venues on “colored nights”.

After Elvis died, Priscilla was dedicated to uphold the memory and legacy of her ex-husband. Due to having to tax problems and other expenses, Priscilla hired a CEO to turn Graceland into a museum which became a huge success.

Priscilla then became the chairwoman and president of Elvis Presley Enterprises and promised to stay in that role until Lisa Marie turned 21. From Priscilla’s work and guidance, the Elvis trust grew to be worth over $100 million.

Lisa Marie revealed that Michael Jackson pushed her to have a baby and she didn’t want to, she said “We would have three-day arguments, taking a break to eat or sleep”.

After Michael and Lisa divorced, she said it was a slap in the face when Debbie Rowe became pregnant two months later. She said, “He would tell me, ‘Debbie said she’ll do it.’ That’s how he knew to handle it, ‘If you’re not going to do it, this person will.”

Lisa Marie spoke out about the death of her ex-husband Michael Jackson and how she wishes she could have done more to help him. She told Oprah “I wish I’d saved him, I know it’s naive to think that I could’ve, but I wanted to.”

She revealed that she had suspected he was using substances but didn’t start to realize until she filed for divorce. She was most aware when he was in hospital for a viral infection but reports pointed to substances.

Elvis met Priscilla Wagner at a party at his house while he was stationed in Germany during his army service. Priscilla was only 14-years-old at the time but was said to have looked much older and made a lasting impression on Elvis.

Due to Priscilla’s step-father being a US Navy Pilot at the time, he was furious when she arrived home so late and banned her from seeing Elvis again. However, Elvis used his charm and promised to never bring her home late again.

Although Lisa Marie was given plenty of money from a young age, she was not aware of how to keep it and new documents show how she is nearly going bankrupt.

Even though she gets a $100,000 monthly inheritance check from her late father’s estate, she claimed she has no money and is in debt to the IRS and creditors. Furthermore, the daughter of Elvis also admitted that she is living rent free as she cannot afford the upkeep of a home.

One of the most famous affairs Elvis engaged in was with American actress and singer, Ann-Margaret. The two met when they filmed Viva Las Vegas in 1964 and were said to have hit it off immediately.

The two had a brief affair and when she called Graceland, her code name was “Thumper”. When Priscilla caught on and confronted Elvis about the affair, he denied it all and passed it off as spending time with her just for publicity.

Lisa Marie Presley’s life, as both Elvis’ child and as a celebrity in her own right, has certainly been difficult and fraught with heartbreak. Sadly, on January 12, 2023, Priscilla shared with the world that her daughter had passed away at age 54.

She was rushed to the hospital some hours before with a possible cardiac arrest. In her statement, Priscilla spoke of how her daughter “was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known.”
